Pen Mandrel Support 2MT

It is not uncommon for pen turners to use blacksmith hands on the tailstock and end up bending the mandrel shaft (and ending up with oval pens) and/or damaging the point of the revolving centre.
 
This hollow revolving centre is used instead of a standard point revolving centre, by slipping the mandrel shaft into it. This applies pressure directly to the bushings.
