CamVac have always been made in the UK and been the choice of many professional woodworkers for years.
May take 4-5 days for delivery as some are made to order.
Record Power bought the company in 2014 and now manufacture the units in their own factory. Roll on the days when more companies bring work back to the UK! We went up to see the team in action and test the machines.
This compact wall mounted machine has a large 150 litre capacity and is ideal for serving extraction systems in smaller workshops. The waste is collected in reusable bag which is fitted to the exterior of a strong steel cage to retain its shape. In addition to wood dust and chippings, it can tackle workshop debris, nails, and many other types of waste with ease and features the CamVac triple filtration system for effective treatment of fine particles.
All CamVac dust extractors are are described as having ‘cyclonic neutral vane theory technology’ which we believe is a way of saying that because the inlet pipe is side mounted, instead of the air and debris smacking straight into the filter as with other drum types, it runs around the side of the drum and circulates around before losing momentum. Whatever, they really suck!
And there is a clever feature on all models which we have not seen on dust extractors before. Exhausted air is the noisiest feature of most dust extractors and a good reason to fit a unit in a box outside the workshop if you can. CamVacs are fitted with an acoustic air outlet to which an optional 21/2” pipe can be fitted to direct the filtered exhaust air and noise away from the machine. This could exhaust anywhere in the workshop or even better, through a hole in the wall and outside. Clever.
All CamVacs are fitted with 3 stage drum and motor filters to clean the air down to 0.5 microns, an industry standard for working with MDF.
