SHARPENING
We find that the flat cutters are best ground at 10° to 15° to give the best cut.
For shear scraping, the burr created is a vital edge and can be restored by rubbing the edge firmly with a Crown Burnisher or similar hard steel.
After doing this three or four times is best to take the tool back to the grinder to restore the clean burr.
Cutters 6 and 7 are used for hollowing or detail work and are best held in the Cutter Holder and sharpened to 10° to 15°.
