Pale ‘Gold’ Flake 40ml
The Pale ‘Gold’ Flake (not real gold of course, but copper and aluminium) offers a lot of possibilities for embellishing your woodturning. We have used them on knotty or burry pieces with great effect and plan to use them with the spiraling tool next.
The Pale Gold flakes are very fine and handle almost like a liquid, so disposable gloves are a good idea.
These flakes will not sand up ‘gold’ when mixed with resins so are best sprinkled onto glue or brushed into fissures.
One of our experienced users prefers to sprinkle it on then carefully drip very thin cyanoacrylate glue until is soaked.
For use with resin, mix the resin and hardener together then add the powder to form a mixture like putty. Mix very thoroughly.
40ml of Pale Gold Flake weighs approximately 54g.
