High quality aluminium oxide abrasive, long cutting life, cloth backed, this abrasive copes well with the demands of woodturning and is the best hand sanding abrasive we can find. Use wet or dry, even wash the dust out. We suggest tearing off a strip across the cloth and folding into three.
With all abrasives, it is important to work through successive grits as skipping a grade will leave grit marks which show when a shine is applied.
Use all abrasive with a light firm touch - as you would with tools - partly so that the grit does not clog, but more importantly, to avoid making heat checks on the wood.
We have been using this abrasive since 1988 and selling it since we opened the shop in 1996. A proven favourite.
