CROWN THREAD CHASERS

Developed with the help of Bill Jones, these tools come with a helpful instruction brochure.

Thread chasing takes some practice and a lathe speed of 400rpm or less.
The coarser the thread, the lower the lathe speed.
The Thread Chasing Recess Tool is used to relieve a small space behind the internal thread.

Available in three sizes, 12 tpi (threads per inch), 18tpi and 20tpi.
Each set comprises an internal and external thread chaser as shown, but not the example wooden box.
The Bill Jone Arm Rest is favoured by most professionals for supporting the internal chaser.
