Great service, I'd recommend Stiles and Bates to anyone who, like me, are new to woodturning. Having recently been given a lathe, but no chuck or tools, I began to search the web to find out what chucks and tools were available and compare prices. I found the Stiles and Bates web site which unlike many other sites had all the items I required and the prices were competitive. However before placing an order I needed some help so on Friday evening I posted my questions via the web, the answer was waiting for me when I checked my mail on Saturday but the reply only raised more questions. I emailed my other questions expecting a reply early the following week but was amazed when David rang me later on Saturday to discuss my requirements. After listing to my plans, David advised me that I did not need some of the items I intended to buy and also provided some advice on other aspects of my requirements. Where many other companies just answer your email and sell you what you ask for, David took the time to ensure I only ordered what I actually needed and saving me money - well it would have done but the savings went on buying some other items that I wanted but didn't think I could afford.
